If I don’t have a relationship with God, does that mean I will go to hell, or not to heaven?Jan 12, 06:01 PM

There is a slight problem with this question. This question seems to say that you can go to hell, you can go to heaven, or you can go to neither. However, that is not the case. Not going to heaven and going to hell are the exact same thing…there are only two options. So logically, if you don’t go to one, you must go to the other.
In Mark 9:43, Jesus says, “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better to enter into heaven with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires (hell) with two hands.” If there was a third choice, then why wouldn’t Jesus have mentioned it? He could have easily said, “…than to not go to heaven with both”. But he didn’t…he made it a point to lay out the only two options.
In Luke 9:49-50, “John said to Jesus, “Master, we saw someone using your name to cast out demons, but we told him to stop because he isn’t in our group. But Jesus said, “Don’t stop him! Anyone who is not against you is for you.” Jesus basically says that you are either for him, or against him. There is no third neutral choice. There are only two choices: you can decide to have a real relationship with God and choose Him or you can decide to skip this amazing relationship and be separated from God forever in a place that is very un-heaven-like.
