Warriner Weekend Warriors

What We DoWarriner

Tear Down, Load Up, Transport, Unload, and Setup audio/visual equipment at Warriner Hall and the Ward each of the 4 weekends our service is at Warriner Hall. We work with Lighting, Sound, Staging, Projection and Video Broadcasting equipment.

Why We Do It

The Eternal Potential - In the Fall of 2007, there were:

  • 19,876 on-campus students, 3,771 incoming Freshmen - CMU Quick Facts
  • 1 out of 8 born-again people (13%) made their profession of faith while 18 to 21 years old (Barna, 2004)
  • 13% of 19,876 on campus students = 2,584 lives looking for God
  • Services broadcast to 18,600 households across central Michigan!

The Financial Responsibility -

Renting the equipment we transport would cost us $1,357.00 each weekend $1,357.00 x 4 weekends at Warriner = $5,428.00! The Weekend Warriors free up funds for local and global ministry!
  • Caliber of rental equipment is questionable, unfamiliar, and below ours
  • We have a history of being overcharged for equipment and staff
  • The Warriner Transport process creates opportunities for people to serve God and His church in a practical way

The Serving of Servants -

The Weekend Warriors bless these musicians and the teachers by allowing them to focus on their calling to teach or play music, while we focus on our servant-calling to construct an audio visual system that takes the message and the music to people. This practical task puts them in a position to serve us on Sunday morning, and hundreds, maybe thousands more through Public Access.
