AB Performer Application
Please read through the following guidelines before filling out the application. By submitting an application you are agreeing to the terms listed below.
- All performers must complete an application and the application must be received no later than two days before the start of the Acoustic Brew. Any act may be asked to wait until a future Brew to perform. New acts may be asked to audition.
- All songs and sets must be an acoustic flavor. We are now allowing electric guitars as long as the songs fit the mellow atmosphere of the night. (We're talking blues and jazz, not metal and hard rock.)
- Due to time constraints, the "house" drum kit will be used for all bands requiring drums. It's a Roland V-Drums kit with acoustic cymbals. Hand drums can also be provided. If there are any issues with this arrangement, please let us know and we may be able to work something out depending on the night.
- Set times and lengths will be determined by the Acoustic Brew coordinator, and will most likely be 2-3 songs per act. Please be prepared to perform at any time during the Acoustic Brew. The night begins promptly at 7:00pm and will end at approximately 10:00pm.
- All acts/bands must be at the Ward Theater no later than 6:45pm. When you arrive you will receive your set time and some basic instructions.
- The main concept behind the Acoustic Brew is to create a relaxed atmosphere in which people may mingle while enjoying background music. Please consider this when choosing performance material.
- Vulgarity of any kind will not be tolerated.
- While we can't guarantee a great recording, we would like to make mp3s of the night available on our webpage until the next Acoustic Brew. Please let us know if you would specifically not like your set online.
- Thanks for reading through all of this. Please make sure that all parties involved in your band/act are made aware of these expectations. If you should have any questions please include those in the comments area and you will be contacted immediately.
